Smooth out those unwanted wrinkles and folds.
As we age, connective tissues within the skin break down, making facial folds more noticeable. Dermal fillers are used to boost elasticity and
vitality, resulting in a more youthful appearance.
Collagen is the original filler material, but it requires a pre-treatment test and does not last as long as more recent advances.
However, it still has advantages in some areas to soften elements such as fine lines. We will advise you as to the best treatment for your skin.
- Restylane and Perlane are administered by our medical practitioner and the procedures give quick results. They are both based on hyaluronic
acid, which occurs naturally in the body, and are safe to use without pre-testing.
Restylane corrects thin superficial lines, such as those found around the mouth, forehead lines and smile lines. Perlane shapes facial contours,
such as cheeks and chin, and corrects deep folds. Both treatments are suitable for volume augmentation of the lips. You may choose to have a top-up
treatment in six to twelve months; a top-up for lip enhancement is usually recommended after six months.
- Hydraphil is based on hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in human skin. It is used to smooth out wrinkles and enhance lips.
The effects last for about six months, after which time we advise you to undergo treatment again to maintain your new look.
- Laresse is a smooth, easy-flowing gel. It is composed of pure, absorbable medical polymers that have a long history of safe use in
pharmaceutical, medical device, and nutritional products. Laresse is long lasting but non-permanent and is the first filler without many of the
drawbacks of hyaluronic acid and collagen options. Its clean texture results in a natural look and feel that can quickly rejuvenate your appearance.
- Radiesse is used to smooth out deeper facial folds and creases. It is a long-lasting dermal filler that reduces lines and wrinkles.
It contains synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite, which is naturally compatible with the body. The procedure for administering Radiesse is
straightforward and involves simple injections. A local anaesthetic (cream or injection) may be administered. You will usually see results that
last for a year.
- Sculptra restores skin volume. Based on poly-L-lactic acid, it is injected deep into the dermis, or subcutaneous layer, by our medical
practitioner. It works in the lower layers of the skin in order to smooth and firm the treated area of the face. Positive results should be noticeable
approximately six weeks after the course of treatments and should last for up to two years.
